The New York Times video on new Radio technology

Great video from NYTimes describes a new Tivo for Radio. This new technology records your favorite radio programs for on-demand listening. It can be fully customized for each listener’s program and lifestyle preferences.

The video calls up how massive the radio market once was. There are still fierce loyalists. This vintage photo, for example, illustrates a reading of a print newspaper to the publication’s subscriber’s. Each next-big-thing media is supposed to “kill” off the one that went before it.

Is there a lesson? Traditional radio may not be on its last legs after all.
